The results are in …

We’ve (finally!) compiled the results of the surveys we handed out at the debate we co-sponsored between Greg Koukl and John A. Baker at the University of Calgary. As you’ll recall, the topic was “Do objective moral truths exist?”; Mr. Koukl took the affirmative, Mr. Baker the negative.

Some interesting highlights include:

  • 13% of people changed their positions (15 towards the affirmative, 5 towards the negative)
  • 81% of people declared Mr. Koukl to be the winner of the debate, a similar percentage rated his performance as good
  • 19% of people rated Mr. Baker’s performance as good

These results are based on a total of 155 completed surveys. You can view the full summary of the results in PDF format here.

I also love movies! I must admit that the new trend of flmiay-oriented films is very encouraging. Movies bring people together, so it is nice that they are throwing some meaning into the films. I no longer have to feel guilty about watching a movie because it can be shared with my flmiay.
